Tee it up for the Troops, Inc. was established by the family and friends of a soldier serving in the U.S. Army. When the father asked what the son needed he responded by asking his father to do something for the soldiers and families of the fallen and disabled back home. This nonprofit 501(c) (3) corporation (Tax I. D. #20-2974507) was born to help fulfill that request, and to honor and recognize the needs of all veterans who have served this nation.
Beginning in 2005, in conjunction with and in support of Tee it up for the Troops' NATIONAL DAY OF GOLF, golf courses and country clubs throughout the U. S., on a day near September 11th have conducted golf tournaments to salute all those who have answered our nation's call to duty and raise funds for a wide array of programs and organizations devoted to the well-being, recovery and support of our wounded warriors, veterans and their families.
Tee it up for the Troops, Inc. devotes a portion of the contributions it receives to providing equipment, programs and services to wounded warriors, as well as in-theater active duty members of our nation's armed services. All remaining contributions received are distributed among over 30 well regarded non-profit charitable organizations which carry on highly effective programs and activities to ease the burdens of many severely injured members of the United States Armed Forces and their families.
